Dewey LeBoeuf
Our clients worked at the largest law firm ever to close and file for bankruptcy, Dewey LeBoeuf. It was a traumatic plunge for the accomplished, well-regarded firm and those who worked there. The closure led to criminal prosecutions of several of its leaders, and to prison sentences for accounting malfeasance. Jack and René were able to strike the firm’s WARN Act defenses based on the insufficient language Dewey LeBoeuf provided employees as the shutdown unfolded. The case settled for several million dollars.
