General Dynamics Information Services, Inc.
Our clients were background investigators for some of the most critical jobs in the nation. At General Dynamics Information Services they performed in-depth interviews and investigations concerning candidates for federal administrative and executive positions under contract from the Office for Personnel Management. These 1,000+investigators had Defense Department Top Secret Clearance. They carried out complex, field character inquiries across the nation, covering suitability, eligibility, and loyalty for 50 agencies handling the country’s most sensitive missions. But they were let go in waves, without more than a couple of weeks’ notice. We are representing them in federal court in Richmond, Virginia. The case is ongoing.

USIS performed background checks of federal employees until the Office of Personnel Management ordered it to stop. Its computers had been subject to a cyberattack from hackers located in China, causing a massive data breach of sensitive personnel files. Jack and Rene’ spearheaded a lawsuit against the Directors and Officers of USIS that resulted in a settlement fund for creditors, including the class of almost 2,000 employees who did not receive timely notice, in USIS’s bankruptcy liquidation. The case is ongoing.
